Top Notch College Counseling Matches Each Student with the Right College
St. John’s Jesuit has the reputation of having the premier college counseling program. College preparation begins as soon as a young man walks through the door through his regular course work and the start of his college portfolio.
He is counseled through his freshman and sophomore years to take the curriculum that will provide his the base for his college and career plans.
Then, fall of junior year St. John’s Jesuit launches the “official” college process with the Junior Jumpstart. Families and their sons receive their online college manual to guide them easily through the process in a timely manner.
With programs such as Application Boot Camp, Financial Aid Night, Parents as College Coaches and so much more, the end result is a young man finds the college that is the right fit for him and scholarships in many cases to make it more affordable.
As a Jesuit school, St. John’s Jesuit students are sought after by colleges. St. John’s Jesuit has continually led in scholarship dollars in northwest Ohio. The Class of 2015 earned $18.2 million in college awards with 83% of the class earned a scholarship.

Dr. Margie Warrick
With a doctorate in Higher Educational Administration from the University of Michigan, Dr. Warrick has been in college admissions work for more than 30 years. She has experience at both the University of Michigan and Ohio State University. She has an extensive network of professional contacts at colleges and universities across the country. She has led college counseling at SJJ for 14 years. Having served on several advisory Boards (Ohio State, Miami, ACT), Dr. Warrick has been a delegate to the National Association for College Admissions Counseling and is active in the Ohio Association for College Admissions Counseling, and the Jesuit High School College Counseling Association.
Inga Wood
Inga is the secretary for the Office of College Counseling and the manager of the College Resources Center. Among other responsibilities, she processes all components of a student’s college application - - insuring that his transcript, letters of recommendation, and school profile are sent to his colleges of application, as well as scholarship agencies and the NCAA. Inga is an experienced office professional and the mother of five.
