Jesuit Education – Worldwide Academic Leader

For over 450 years, Jesuit education has been producing tomorrow’s leaders in a Christ-centered atmosphere. Jesuit education is the oldest network of schools in the world. In the United States alone, there are 46 high schools (enrolling over 41,000 students) and 28 colleges and universities.

The Jesuits pioneered the 7-12 grade concept that is now being accepted throughout the country in over 160 Catholic schools.

What does Jesuit education mean for your son?

An opportunity to be part of something bigger, there isn’t a place he would go where he wouldn’t find another Jesuit-educated colleague.

Positive peer pressure. We develop the abilities in all students to achieve their greatest potential.

Exposure to Christian Service opportunities locally, nationally and internationally so students develop a compassion for others.

A reinforcement of the values you teach at home on a daily basis.

A cultural and societal experience beyond his neighborhood school that broadens his horizons and prepares him for high school and later college.

 Developing Tomorrow's Christian Leaders

St. John’s Jesuit Academy offers a three-pronged approach to developing spiritual growth through theology classes, Christian Service and Campus Ministry activities, such as liturgies, retreats, and prayer services.

Exclusive retreats designed for this age group introduce Academy students to the basic concepts of Ignatian spiritual growth and development.

Service requirement for Academy students through their theology classes as well as opportunities to participate in group Christian Service activities will develop tomorrow’s man for others.

“Cura Personalis” – Personal Attention for Your Son

Students benefit from the Jesuit “cura personalis” (care for the individual) in all aspects of Academy life.

The Academy offers each student the opportunity to achieve his greatest potential in a Christ-centered environment.

Academic success, spiritual growth, personal counseling and a host of sports and activities provide Academy students with an exciting and nurturing education.

Challenging Sports and Activities

Seasonal sports provide Academy athletes with competitive opportunities.

A variety of clubs and activities exclusive to the Academy will make getting involved easy and provide leadership opportunities.

Junior high activities exclusive to the Academy such as bowling and skating parties, paintball games, field days, and class trips will develop new friendships.

Big Brothers Program

High school students will serve as mentors to students in the Academy.  Eighth grade students will serve as mentors for the sixth grade students.
