Jesuit Virtual Learning Academy
Students are able to enroll in courses offered online through the Jesuit Virtual Learning Academy (JVLA). The online courses are taught by faculty members from other Jesuit high schools from around the country. Courses are designed around a series of learning modules that students complete according to a schedule specified by the teacher. Students proceed through the course as a class. Instruction includes lecture, discussions, projects, reading assignments, and guest lectures. Thirty-six full year and semester courses are available, including the following courses:
AP Art History (1.0 credits)
AP Comparative Government and Politics (1.0 credits)
AP Computer Science (1.0 credits)
AP Environmental Science (1.0 credits)
AP Human Geography (1.0 credits)
AP Macroeconomics (0.5 credits)
AP Microeconomics (0.5 credits)
AP Spanish Literature and Culture (1.0 credits)
AP World History (1.0 credits)
Multivariable Calculus (1.0 credits;
Arabic Level 1 (1.0 credit)
Arabic Level 2 (1.0 credit)
Bioethics: Navigating the Ethical Dilemmas of our Future (0.5 credits)

Genocide and the Holocaust
To register, students must request approval from the Academic Assistant Principal and register for 9811 JVLA Full Year Course or 9801 JVLA Semester Course. There is an additional fee for these courses and course materials.
